I have very warm memories of Dick Sillitto's lectures, and would certainly like to add my greetings to those of other former students. Dick's lectures were certainly some of the clearest we had in the Physics Department, and have stood us in good stead. I do most warmly wish him a very happy 80th birthday. I recently celebrated my 70th, and am amazed to find that people we thought of as very senior were only ten years older than ourselves!
